Revenant Saga
Become a Revenant and find the truth beyond revenge in this gothic fantasy RPG with stunning 3D battles!
After being turned into an immortal being known as a 'Revenant' and learning of the existence of a demon within him, Albert sets out on a journey to make the person who did this to him pay with their very life. However, as he runs into others along the way dealing with their own figurative demons, what is the answer he finds...?
Boasting a story that blurs the lines between good and evil, and plenty of content to go around, this is one title not to be missed! This includes a variety of unique subquests, in-battle transformation systems, as well as a weapon forging system allowing players to make entirely unique weapons as they battle in turn-based battles with 3D animation!

cute and good story concept, ass gameplay.
absolute gem, just be sure to bring a gamepad because the non-customisable keyboard controls are a nightmare.

toby fox must have loved this one.
run from left to right and beat the shit out of guys named j and gus. good times.
great game mechanics, magnificent soundtrack and visuals, detailed world. very deep and atmospheric game.
the only game with silent hill atmosphere since silent hill 3. absolutely brilliant soundtrack, too.
the weakest of the three, but not by a terribly long shot.

further significantly improves on the already strong points of the first part — gameplay, sound and visuals — while maintaining the absolutely cringeworthy cutcenes with some of the worst dialogue and story presentation in the history of video games. pretty awesome game overall, though.

+ spectacular combat gameplay

even more awesome battle, sound and visuals than the first part. unfortunately, the amazing action is still disrupted a lot by absolutely cringeworthy story cutscenes with some of the worst wannabe-cinematic dialogue I've ever come across.
absolutely horrid story and characters, but the setting, gameplay and soundtrack still make for a diverting game.
absolutely abysmal plot and characters, but the setting, gameplay and soundtrack make up for a lot.

dark souls 1 brought about some very important gameplay innovations, and was incredibly bold in its vision. part 3 is less uncompromising and focussed, but overall much more streamlined, accessible and generally satisfying. ds1 is untouchable in what it did at the time, but ds3 is the better-made game.
dark souls 1 brought about some very important gameplay innovations, and was incredibly bold in its vision. part 3 is less uncompromising and focussed, but overall much more streamlined, accessible and generally satisfying. it lacks the zero handholding and brutally unforgiving challenges and thus the satisfaction of finally overcoming them; but it also lacks the random death and frustration. ds1 is untouchable in what it did at the time, but ds3 is the better-made game.
