How to Request Games
Use game requests for missing titles, missing platform versions, or entries that need staff review before they can become public game records.
What You Can Request
Request a game when a title is missing from MyVideoGameList or when a known game needs another platform version added. A request should point staff to a real game and a credible source that confirms the title and platform.
Details to Include
- Game title, written as clearly as possible.
- One or more platforms where the game is available.
- A source URL for game information, such as an official site, storefront page, publisher page, or reliable database listing.
- Release information, publisher, developer, and genre when you know them.
Choosing Platforms
Pick every platform that applies to the version you are requesting. Broad categories are fine when the site taxonomy groups devices together.
Mobile can include iOS, Android, older cell phone systems, Alexa, and Oculus/Meta Quest-style titles when those games fit the current platform list better than a more specific platform.
Public Guidance vs Staff Review
The public form collects enough information for staff to review the request. Game DB Admins still decide whether and how to create the final public game record, so submitting a request does not immediately add a live game page.
