''Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow'', GBA

All ''Castlevania'' games are connected (except ''Lord of Shadow'') and I like how this game has strong ties with ''Castlevania: Symphony of the Night'' (first ''Symphony'', now ''Aria''). Mostly with Alucard's story actually but still. I didn't know many series' games.

The basic concept of series maintained: Dracula's resurrection, his castle, some monsters. But we don't meet lord of castle as we get used to. I won't be talking about this too much: I don't like spoilers. I just tell one thing: the story is a strong point of the game.

Music not that amazing as it was at ''Symphony of the Night'' but hey! It's only GBA. You can forgive it. Especially music is not bad. Just can't compare to ''Symphony''.

Graphics is nice, I can't complain. For GBA is very good I think.

Gameplay didn't change much from classic RPG ''Castlevania''. New is that you can use souls of the defeated monsters.

As always game has several endings for our pleasure. It's easy to get them all in first playthrough.

P.S.: As one meme said it is the only one game where you can throw cat at the enemy.

P.P.S.: My best friend asked me to write a fanfic at ''Supernatural'' and one of the creature inspirited me to do it. Tsuchinoko. I met it too often in games...

Again we have Dracula's castle, Dracula himself and his best buddy Death. Strange, all game of series have same concept of exploring one castle of one person with some same bosses but it's never get old or boring.

Well, this time we have three friends in trouble. In one of them, of course, flows Belmont's blood. He and his friend came looking for girl friend. As always we have several endings dependent on little things which you not always understand.

Main character reminds me Alucard with his appearance. As for personality I can't say anything.

Game very colorful for so dark place as Dracula's castle but I still think it's nice. Good for GBA. Graphics, as always, is very good.

More memorable battle for me was with Death. It was hard but interesting.

I really like connection between two castles. The idea to create them like this is worthy for my opinion.

First time I played this game on japanese. And somehow it was easier then when I started localized game. I don't know why. In japanese version I found out card's attributes only by intuition. And so the story. But most I understand well because picture I saw on monitor. Most but not every.

It's really difficult game compare to others of series I played. With more progress not only bosses make your life difficult. Every enemy can take your life easily. And they become stronger and stronger.

Graphics here isn't the best of the series. In others game I played background wasn't so static. I can forgive it because it was, as I understand, first game on GBA. They were still learning.

Cards system is very interesting. You can combine them as you wish to get needed ability. It's fun to experiment with them.

Last boss is strong like hell...

P.S.: I'd prefer play with Hugh but well...

That was my first game of ''Castlevania'' series and then I fall in love. Maybe other games of series not that wonderful they still good enough to like them.

Well, let's back to our ''Symphony''. Name fit to the game: music is truly amazing! Best soundtrack of series. I already said that music has much meaning for me. In this game it one big plus. But not the only. Exploring Dracula's castle is very interesting. Fighting bosses too, even if some of them too strange...

Story is short but nice. Many little things while exploring make game fun. I really like reaction of bat familiar when Alucard is turning to bat and back.

Visual game is also good. Small dilates at background and in enemies make game alive. As for me game is pleasing to the eye. I'm not always fully explore games but this one I wanted to explore on all 100... oh, sorry, 200%. And I did it! With a much pleasure.

What a lovely game! So nostalgic! It's easy and fun, a little strategy. You hunt enemies, upgrade your weapon (bombs) and look for door to the next stage. And remember not to hit the door! Or crazy party will begin...

Wonderful game to kill time. Just don't kill yourself with your bombs!

''Alone in the Dark: Near Death Investigation'', PS2 (dropped)

No. Just no. Never play this game. Never! Gameplay is awful. There are no usable control, no interesting story, no atmospherics, no sense. There isn't enough reason to play this game. I dropped it very fast because terrible control. At the beginning I thought that I'm bad player but after a while I found on forum that it was not my fault. I'd glance several let's plays wonder what I lost only to found out that I didn't lose anything. Really. There is nothing good in this game. Do not play it!

''Breath of Fire IV'', PSOne

The last game of series I played by now. I have fifth but I wasn't impressed by what I saw at start so I put aside fifth game for a while. And for sixth I even won't going to play it... It's not ''Breath of Fire'' anymore. Well, let's go back to the fourth game.

It's wonderful! I don't like it as much I like third truly. As for a story it's concentrating not on one but two characters. Every one of them goes separate way and they will not cross until the end. But in fact we still have only one main character... Who still doesn't talk. This time he's not as good as his foregoers. He doesn't show many emotions. He has them but not as much as others Ryu. If not for other ''main'' character I wouldn't like this game as I like it now.

Fou-Lu... I always waited his story parts with anticipation. He is the major reason why I wanted to play this game till the end non-stop (it's impossible, sadly). And I like most parts with Mami even if my heart bleeding...

Game has good OST. In four games of series it is the best one. Gameplay is also pleasant. Graphics is lovely too.

''Breath of Fire III'', PSOne

Finally! My favorite game of ''Breath of Fire'' series. We have the greatest Ryu ever. As a child at list. He show so many emotions, he look so alive. Our time at the beginning of game with Teepo, Rei and Ryu are priceless! I saw them, I felt them. We had fun, we grief together. It was wonderful time! And for that I love this game so much — for feelings it's gave me.

As for gameplay there is one minus. It's moving on dungeons and map. Very inconveniently.

Music still not best but I often listening several tracks at home or on my mp3-player. I like ''My Favorite Trick'' very much. There is I also have a favorite character in this game. Teepo. He was very fun and strong. I like his child personality and looking. He has a style! It's good that characters in stories grow up so fast, but bad... This series love to torture hearts of its fans.

From this game I start to like ''farm''. Fairy farm! At the beginning I was like slave holder truly... I didn't care enough for food and my precious fairies start to die. One after another. I was a new in this kind of game! And that was so sad... I was a bad ruler. But now I can make everyone happy.

Another thing why I love this game it is story. If you play game for stories, like me, I really recommend this one.

P.S.: You can see how little Ryu grow up by fighting, how he hold his sword and how strike. It's interesting.

I was charmed by the beginning of this story. It was cruel and mysteriously. Also it is the first game where we start with little Ryu. Again he has a sister. And this is the only game where we can meet Ryu's father and see Ryu's mother. She’s so beautiful...

As tradition game has many sad moments and good story. I really wanted that Ryu found Yua. It was my priority. What the hell happened with village and people there wasn't so interesting for me in that moment. She was such a cute child!

In this game we have our own village. And I don't mean the one we grown up. We build our town by ourselves! And depending how good we did it we will get the ending... For me it's minus. But still it isn't too bad. Make your little town to fly — it isn't dream. It even easier than it's sound.

Game has three endings. Two of them you can watch while your first walkthrough: bad and good or best. I chose to get best ending myself and watch good on youtube. And I did it without problem.

Sadly game wasn't so interesting whole time. After the second third it's start to get boring and sometime annoying. First game of series I finish in one breath. This game I played very long... Not because I wanted.

P.S.: And we have cat character in this game! Guess who I have always in ma party?

''Breath of Fire'', GBA

I fall in love with ''Breath of Fire III''. I like very much ''Breath of Fire IV''. That's why I decided to return to the sources — the first game of series.

This game is bright as many other on GBA. And it's good. Music is also fairly well. There are even memorable soundtracks. Story is easy (still dark) but enough for so old game. Every characters have they own special ability on world map. Some of them are vital. For using them you need the character lead our party. That not always good if ability you use most have a character you don't like...

I said before that I don't like silent hero. So that is one of the mentioned exceptions. Maybe Ryu don't talk you still can see his emotions clearly. And without it story and gameplay are good enough for playing this game with pleasure.

Fishing here so easy that even I killed some time for it. It was useful. In other games maybe too but there I don't like it...

P.S.: First Ryu one of the best in series. The first and the third are my favorite.
