Furi

Fight your way free in our frenzied all-boss fighter, and discover what’s waiting behind the last gate. Furi is all about the tension of one-on-one fights against deadly adversaries. It’s an intense, ultra-responsive game with a unique mix of fast-paced sword fighting and dual-stick shooting. Each of the formidable guardians —designed by Afro Samurai creator Takashi Okazaki— has a unique and surprising combat style that requires focus and skill to defeat. The high-energy action gets a boost from an award-winning soundtrack composed by electro musicians Carpenter Brut, Danger, The Toxic Avenger, Lorn, Scattle, Waveshaper and Kn1ght.

Features:

  • You can slash with your sword, shoot with your gun, dodge and parry. That’s about it.
  • You can also charge the slash attack, the gun shot and the dodge.
  • Once you’ve got that, you can play!
  • There’s no limit to how much you can improve, it’s simple and deep.
  • The challenges are based on a simple formula: get warned – react – punish.
  • The depth comes from the differences between the guardians. It’s about how you play a few moves differently to beat a different opponent.
  • Default difficulty is Furi mode. Beat the game in Furi, and you’ll unlock Furier (hardcore). - Beat it in Furier, you’ll unlock a Speedrun mode (compete against time or hits - with leaderboards). There is also an easier mode.
  • Furi is about you, the hero, regaining your freedom. While you piece the story together it raises questions on what's worth fighting for.

One of the most dense and complex narrative with incredibly slow pacing and yet still deliver the wide arrays of theme from death, faith, god, sins to love, and human nature, and we can't truly pinpoint 'what the overall theme' truly is because it's not a story about one 'thing' and 'one man', its a story about a city and the life nature of them. The narrative coherency and gut-wrenching moments are still greatly executed, The overall vibe and historical background are still beautifully captured with its minimalistic artstyle and simplistic soundtrack, even though there are still a bug here and there, this is overall one of the best-hidden gems game out there

The settings are fine and had some cool daily life stuff in it that add the immersive/realism of the games because of the interactive characters and object, the voice acting is also really great and gives the characters some images and uniqueness to it, but the gameplay is unplayable (not the persona battle but the dungeon) and so bad that gives me a headache sometimes because of the formulaic dungeon and level design, and a predictable story because of the cliche formulaic confronting your other 'dark self'. Had some potential to be ones of my favorites game but overall it's pretty meh for me because of the terrible gameplay and aslo the generic predictable conclusion of the conflict from the story makes me to stop playing this game after 30 hours in. Hopefully Persona 5 or upcoming 6 solves all my complaint from this games so far
