JUMP FORCE

So I remember I made something about Game Informer's top 300 games or something, but screw that. I'm going to talk about a game I've been hype about since I first saw it, Jump Force. Loving several of the Shonen Jump franchises, I was excited to get my hands on it. There are a few good things, but honestly a lot of bad things.
The Good:
The game looks good. At least when the characters are fighting and some of the special moves. The stages are beautiful and the damage effects of Vegeta's Galick Gun or Naruto's Tailed Beast Bomb are great. There are 40 characters. That in itself is a good amount of characters for any game to boast. There is a create a character feature. And lastly, the fighting and controls of the game seem simple enough to grasp even for a casual gamer who likes Dragon Ball and wants to check it out. The damage effects on characters is also amazing.
The Bad:
Yes, we have 40 characters... but somehow either it wasn't enough or some of the selections we got are questionable. One example, and I do in fact love my Dragon Ball Z, was Cell and Piccolo. Shonen Jump classics like Gintoki, Tsunayoshi and Medaka aren't in the game at all, yet franchises like Dragon Ball can put in characters that are not really requested, and seem... disappointing. Those open slots could have welcomed new series or add onto existing franchises with less representatives, like Bakugo for My Hero Academia or Allen Walker from D-Gray Man. While the characters usually look good, scenes in the story mode are sad, and interactions are often voiceless and soulless. Even intros seem dumbed down from the unique, quirky and true to character intros and outros from J-Stars Victory Vs. Where are the female characters? Rukia, Boa, and Kaguya? While those females are fine and good, this game is severely lacking a feminine touch! Shonen Jump has some of the most badass (and beautiful) ladies in all of anime. The biggest problem I have is the loading screens. You'll grow sick of it in less than a day.
Lets hope this game gets dlc to fix some of the problems, my inner anime fan is keeping me connected, but as a casual, I would have dropped this already. There are nine characters preparing to be released, and apparently they will be:
Grimmjow from Bleach Hitsugaya from Bleach Biscuit from HunterxHunter Buu from Dragon Ball Kaiba from Yugioh Bakugo from My Hero Academia All Might from My Hero Academia Law from One Piece and Madara from Naruto.
I hope this gets better!
