Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity

Age of Calamity is the first "Warriors" game I've played. I was excited to give it a try, as I had skipped on the first Hyrule Warriors for the WiiU and the Deluxe edition for the Switch. I was also excited since it was going to be canon. The game takes place before Breath of the Wild and will help flesh out the world more. However, you actually beat Ganon in this game. You're supposed to lose to Ganon, thus causing the Great Calamity (as the name implies). But this doesn't happen. So that was a little disappointing. I think some of the story events could still be considered canon if you throw away the parts that clearly aren't, so that's probably how I'll construct my head-canon. But all that being said, I really enjoyed the combat and map layout. It got a little "grindy" towards the end, and that got annoying, but otherwise, it was a really fun game. The combat was great and the characters were crazy, in a good way. They let you play as King Rhoam, the Great Fairies, Monk Maz Koshia, Terrako, and (if you 100% the game) Calamity Ganon himself! It's a really fun game, and it's definitely one you'll enjoy if you liked Breath of the Wild.
